Why Membership Matters
As disciples grow so should their desire to commit to being a member of a local church. Some may ask, "Does it really matter if I’m a member or not?" We believe the answer is "yes."
We take membership seriously. Committing yourself to a body of believers is a big deal. But it’s also wonderful. When Covenant Members join, they commit to a spiritual family that provides encouragement and support. They are called to a biblical degree of responsibility, service and sacrifice to their brothers and sisters. Our elders also commit to assist our Covenant Members with care, counsel, prayer and teaching.
As you think about making a decision to join Zion Church, take some time to read the Membership Covenant. We want you to know exactly what it means to join and what is required when you do before asking you to make a decision.
